My intentions.

 Isn't it so refreshing to get a brand new start? Whether with a friend, a family member, your career? I'm getting one at this very moment. A brand new URL, along with new developments in my hopeful soon-to-be writing career.

Being published was honestly always such a big thing for me. I wanted to either be the name on the cover, or the one they write the book about. When I began writing, I figured publishing was the #1 goal for everybody. Freelancing was just what you did when the fictional writers block was too much to work through. 

However, I have since learned a little bit about this industry, and Im well aware that my messages on Pitchwhiz are being read and not replied to, so for all the made-up writers I have living in my brain that all have it so together, you can let up now; Im knocked a few rungs down the totem pole.

Anyhow, fresh starts arent always invigorating and exciting. Often times they come after a reality check, hurtful words, constant pushes back when you try to move forward. 

I have decided to revamp my website and begin to broadcast every part of me on it, even if it isnt all that pretty, or I dont have the perfect words to entice publishers to want 1200 words in their inbox by Monday, and I am going to be okay with it.

I wont paint the entire picture with a negative brush though... A few times I pitched and actually got a home run! (I promise sports metaphors will be minimal to none from here on out.) I have been commissioned before, and even if other times I did not make the cut, so to speak, my message was at least deemed worthy of a reply. Is this just editors having courtesy? Or is it really because even though I wasn't chosen, they still admired the strengths that did shine in my work.

And through it all, I want whoever chooses to read this to be on the journey with me. So I please, urge you all! Say hello in the comments, get out of your social shells just a tiny bit... Im just a stranger on the internet, I cant hurt you.
